From a personal viewpoint, mainstream sports such as football and rugby have always interested me. Sports with a more outdoor aspect however have appealed to me far more such as mountain biking and kite buggying. It was not long before a camera became part of the standard kit to take while out "playing." The love for the great outdoors has allowed me to participate in formal qualifications such as the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme, Basic Expedition Leadership Award and the Powerkite/Kite Buggy Instructor course. This experience allows the best shots to be captured on location, regardless of where this might be. Having undertaken many of the sports that I cover, this first hand knowledge allows for the best images to be captured ensuring the safety of everyone taking part. From hill walking in Loch Lomond to powerkiting in Ayrshire, the photo opportunities are endless. Commissioned work is always welcome and recent sport assignments have included Powerkite Magazine, and work for the Scottish Power Kite Association. Football, skateboarding, aggressive inline skating, BMX, traithlon - tell me where and when and I will cover it.
