Emap Radio and Sony Ericsson Walkman phones are delighted to announce that the third act to appear as part of the 'Up Close' series of intimate gigs will be on of 2006's great rock n' roll success stories.......Californian 5-piece Orson.

The exclusive gig took place at a secret Scottish location on Monday, October 15 and the guys performed a live set packed with new tracks, including the next single 'Aint No Party' from their forthcoming album 'Culture Vultures' plus all the favourites from their No.1 debut album, 'Bright Idea.'

Tickets for Up Close shows are strictly limited to 250 and cannot be bought anywhere, but Orson fans can win their way in to the show via Emap Radio stations including Clyde 1 and West FM.

Up Close shows also offer a unique opportunity for the audience to gain an exclusive insight into the featured act during the at-event Q & A session.

Orson's rapid and high profile rise to fame was fuelled by massive support in Scotland from the very early days to singles like 'No Tomorrow' and 'Bright Idea.' The release of their debut album brought the band another taste of the top spot which led to the boys being awarded the accolade of Best International Breakthrough Act at The Brits.
